| Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Dec. 14 1960.
Gerald began piano instruction at 9 and guitar at age
12. He developed his singing, guitar skills and songwriting
while performing at area schools, churches, and clubs.
He then continued with music throughout his college
years; performing at coffee houses, concerts and casual
events. Stepping up to a higher level of musicianship,
Gerald attended the famous, Dick Grove School of Music
in Studio City, CA, which gave him a strong foundation
in arranging and composing. He lays claim to numerous
gospel, jazz, r&b and pop groups, which have brought
him a wealth of experience. Oftentimes, Gerald served
as the front man --singing and playing. As a natural
leader, Gerald served as music director on several stints
with these groups. His major influences have been George
Benson, Lee Ritenour, Earl Klugh and Al Jarreau.
In May of 2002, Gerald released his debut CD, Personal
Passions on his own label with the help of soloists
Kevin Flournoy on keyboards and Rodney Taylor on saxophone.
